Human Rights Relief Actions

The tsunamis of December 26th 2004 have left more than destruction of property and loss of life in their wake. They have also left a generation of orphans in lands where violations of the rights of children are infamous.

The Church of Scientology International co-sponsored sending a human rights relief team to South Asia in conjunction with the International Foundation for Human Rights and Tolerance. This team has now returned and is preparing a report to be submitted to humanitarian agencies describing what they found. Separately, the President of the Church of Scientology International, Rev. Heber C. Jentzsch, visited Sri Lanka and met with Buddhist monks engaged in relief efforts.
