Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief
September 6, 2005
We are proud to support the Scientology Volunteer Ministers disaster relief work in Louisiana, Mississippi, and shelters around the country where those most affected by the disaster have been relocated.
They urgently need help to continue and extend their operations. The Volunteer Ministers web site at www.volunteerministers.org provides up-to-date news on their activities, and information on how people can help.
Hundreds of thousands of U.S. Gulf Coast residents have been left homeless in what has been described as the worst American disaster since the Civil War.
Scientology Volunteer Ministers from around the country are now manning shelters, assisting the emergency relief personnel in New Orleans and other devastated areas and are doing whatever local government and civic organizations need, to help those who have been most seriously affected.
Experienced Volunteer Ministers from the Churches of Scientology of New York, Tampa, and California, who have worked in disaster relief following the New York terrorist attacks of 9/11, Florida hurricanes and Southern California brush fires, are coordinating the activities and will train any persons willing to help.
Anyone who can volunteer their time or donate money to support these actions should contact:
