Youth for Human Rights International 2nd Annual Youth Summit Delegate Profile: Uganda

Nsubuga Isaac Samual was a key person in the beginning of the Youth for Human Rights program in Uganda, including mobilizing youth to join, introducing the program in to schools, to local authorities, government agencies and other officials. He was the writer of a film play which promotes respect and human rights called “The Operation its My Right.” He is a founding member of the Steadfast Peace and Human Rights Network of Uganda and has contributed to many other similar programs.
Mr. Samual stated "I want to participate in the Youth for Human Rights International Summit 2005, because I hope to learn and gain experience in a youth-to-youth participatory process program where by youth work for fellow youth to promote their rights and interest. This will help in intensifying the human rights education campaign through YHRI Uganda to my fellow youth."
Young leaders from 30 countries arrive in Los Angeles this week to participate in the 2nd annual Youth for Human Rights International Summit, which takes place this year at Jordan High School in Los Angeles. The summit has been co-organized by Jordan High School and Youth for Human Rights International. It is being held October 1-3, 2005.
